My World - Encanto Park

This year (2015) I plan to link up with a site called "Our World Tuesday" where family-friendly bloggers share images of their world and tell us a little bit of the story about the place.  Sometimes it is hard to see the beauty in our own home town and I hope this will get me out and take more images of the place where I live.  

My first image is taken at Encanto Park in the Central part of Phoenix Arizona.  It over looks the area of buildings that is commonly known as "uptown".   North several miles of "downtown".  It's a pretty park with a small river running through it and ducks of course.  It has a small theme park at one end that has been there for many many years.

The Christmas Season

The Holiday Season has come and gone.  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.  I know I did.

Cookie Day with the Boys

Each year we get together with friends for "Cookie Day".  The kids loved decorating their cookies.  This year Noah did a wonderful job at 5 1/2.  Ben created 3 cookies then was off playing what 3 year olds do.  We plan to continue this tradition.

THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving Day is for family and friends to get together and be "thankful" for all.   We enjoyed a great tasting meal, football, conversation with laughs, and games.   Ages ranged from 3 years old all the way up to 83.  Apple and Pumpkin Pies galore.

GRATITUDE

This is a week we all start thinking about the holiday rush!   Rushing to get the house cleaned for the dinner quests, shopping for the food, etc etc.  STOP - let's think about all the things we are grateful for.  Stress isn't worth it!    Please enjoy all the family and friends we have in our life.  Slow down and really enjoy all the little things!......

GIVE THANKS

Thanksgiving is almost here.   This is a great week to stop and give thanks for all you have and enjoy the little things.

Something Green

Today I thought I would show you something different.....  Something green.   I enjoy photographing all kinds of subjects.

Black and White

I love images that are Black and White.   Here are a few samples that I created with my studio lights and then processed in PhotoShop.   What a beautiful girl!

Something Old.....

Old items are fun to photograph.  It's amazing to see what was used years ago.  We should make sure we document items we currently use for future generations.   Now they may seem ordinary but 50 - 100 years they may seem strange.  Your challenge - walk around your house and take 10 images that you think may change in the future.

THE FACES OF JACOB....

Jacob was willing to come over one afternoon so I could practice posing and using my studio lights.  Thought I would create Black and White images today.

Justin Turns 2......

I had the opportunity to take Justin's 2 year old pictures.  What a challenge 2 year old's can be!!  It was fun but exhausting but a good learning experience.  He is such a cutie and so enjoy watching his personality at that age.
