The Holiday Season

Here is it December 22, 2020 --- over two years since I have added anything to this journal.  2020 has been a challenging year as anyone reading this would agree.  Today I am posting some of my holiday creations from my photoshop artistry collection.  It's a joy to sit down and create.

Happy Holidays!

June 2018

I don't know about you but I am not a good journal person.  So much time has gone by since I have stopped in here.

In January, I decided to start eating healthier and "move" more.  The result has been 20 pounds lighter!  Oh how I miss some of that unhealthy food but I am excited about the weight lost!   Since I am not looking at this as a DIET, it has been rather easy.  Getting harder as I inch my way down to my goal weight.  Whatever that will be.

Last Fall I started digging deeper into my family history.  Have always wanted to create something, but really just never took the time.  I won't lie - it's very time consuming and labor intensive if you want to do it right.  But that can be the fun of it!  And thinking about it as a puzzle.  Right now I am concentrating on gathering all the information from the census and scanning the many pictures I have.  But not just scanning, documenting them in a spreadsheet so future generations know who they are and what the picture was about (if I have that information).

Another project that is an ever on going project, is my scrapbooking.  Whether it's either digital or paper, it has fallen behind.  So this year, I have been trying to schedule some time with my friends to get together and complete a few pages each month.  Page by page it will get done!

During the winter, I found time to take some mini photowalks to keep up with my photography.  But since I have been back to my Phoenix home, I have not picked up the camera.  So with that in mind, I need to figure out how to get that back into my schedule.  I am missing it.  Since it's so hot outside, maybe I will try my hand at some "still life" images that I can finish off in photoshop.

Speaking of photoshop, I dearly love creating art with that program.  Since a fun thing to do.  I continually watch videos to learn new techniques that I can use.  Here are a few of my pieces.

And of course I try to spend time with my nephews whom I dearly love.

Well that pretty much sums up what I have been up to.  Until next time......

MY BOYS

When I asked the boys to lay down head to head, Noah said "oh I know how to do this, it's like that other picture!" since I have the one from 2011 hung up at our Bouse House.   I click my shutter once and then Ben was up and gone.  I am so happy that it turned out so cute!  You just never know with kids!
